Plagiarism of copyrighted material.

Finding sites that have copied your text is an easy process. Go to http://www.copyscape.com/ and type in your URL/website. It will show a list of all the sites that have copied your material. When you click on one of them all the copied text is highlighted. When you go to http://www.uwhois.com/cgi/domains.cgi?User=NoAds it will give you all the info on the site that has copied your material.

During the past year we are finding more and more sealcoating companies either copying our text or pictures. We do consider it a complement that you choose to include some of out content on your site. We have spent many long hours in developing www.cjsealing.com and do not appreciate the fact that some people are just copying and pasting all of our hard work onto their site and calling it their own.

The companies I have come across so far are not in direct competition with us. They are either out of state and in some cases out of country. By copying  our material you are only hurting yourself in several ways. Number one being the search engines, ie Google, Yahoo, MSN, and others are going to show the older version at the top of the page, not a copied version that is less than a year old. Your site can get penalized and not show up at all.

There are two ways in which we can resolve this situation. We can help each other by putting links to each others site on our home page, not stuck into some useless links page, and rewrite the material so it is not word for word like our.  Then there is option two where I contact your ISP and have your site removed because of plagiarism and copyright infringement.

If you would like to exchange links with us copy and paste the code below.
